Around the Sound Community Band

We are a Puget Sound based organization and open to all adults who share a love of music. No auditions are necessary and we accept all skill levels of musicianship. Many of our members are returning to music after years of not playing, some are just learning to play, and some have played a lifetime. All are welcome!

To join our band, simply contact us or come to a rehearsal. Rehearsals are on Thursdays, 7:30-9:00 pm, at Music Center of the Northwest, in North Seattle. See our calendar for specific dates and times. You are welcome to just drop in and observe anytime. There is a $75 tuition, per trimester, to join, but you are welcome to give us a try for free before becoming a member.

You can pay tuition online through the Music Center website. Just look for “Around the Sound” in the list of activities. They also accept tuition in person by check or cash.

Around the Sound Community Band Tuition Policy: As an organization, Around the Sound Community Band depends almost solely on its tuition to meet expenses. This makes it necessary for tuition to be looked at as a prime responsibility of band members. Tuition for Around the Sound Community Band is due on the first rehearsal of the trimester. If there are extenuating circumstances and financial assistance is needed, the need should be discussed with a board member. These matters will be held in strict confidence.
